Green background, representing hope and joy. The Golden fess (stripe through center) represents a generous readiness to serve the public. The Brown Martlets (birds) shows the kingdom exists by virtue and merit, not only inheritence. The Aerdy sun is a sign of life and Glory, and most kingdoms which have been derived from the Great Kingdom keep it as an element of their shield.
